Gretchen Hunter MAcOM is a practitioner of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine licensed by the state of Wyoming and nationally certified by the NCCAOM. Her focus is on providing her patients with thorough, individualized, and comprehensive care, treating a variety of specific conditions and symptoms. In addition, Traditional Chinese Medicine has a strong focus on prevention and is beneficial in the maintenance of good health despite the many demands and challenges of a busy lifestyle.
Gretchen grew up in Lander Wy, and has spent the last 20 years living in Montana, Texas, North Carolina, California and Oregon before making her way back home. She spends her summers camping, hiking, and kayaking and is looking forward to spending Wyoming winters back snowshoeing, cross country skiing, snowboarding and taking her dog Farley out to play in the snow!
Gretchen attended a rigorous 4 year masters program at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, the #1 ranked US acupuncture school. She has 4000 hours of training which includes the treatment of over 450 patients during her internship at OCOM clinics and 100 patients in her externship at Central City Concern- a non-profit organization that provides comprehensive medical and mental health care to patients experiencing addiction and houselessness.
Gretchen has also gone on to become certified in Mei Zen cosmetic acupuncture. She enjoys using all modalities of Traditional Chinese Medicine such as-acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion, gua sha, herbs, diet, and lifestyle changes. She has a passion for treating fibromyalgia, digestive disorders, sleep disorders, pain, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and fatigue. More than just treating disease, Gretchen promotes preventative health, wellness, and patient empowerment. She is very committed to helping people feel their best and really enjoys her work.
